How to Create a Playlist in YouTube (2019)

Creating content on YouTube seems like an easy task but in reality, the type of material and how you organize it should be very strategic or otherwise you will end with a bunch of videos that have almost no views.

The best way to start your content plan is to chunk content around categories. People like to watch videos that are grouped by topics. Think about how traditional TV works with channels specialized for sports, kids, cooking etc. Each of these very targeted channels also has TV shows. Each show has a theme, and even though each episode talks about a different topic, the subject is the same. For example, the cooking show Master Chef is about competition among chefs, but each episode has different ingredients and different chefs.

Think about your YouTube Channel as a specific channel with a theme (whatever your area of expertise is). You need to create Shows and Episodes for those shows. In the YouTube world, the Show would be your Playlists and sections and the Episodes your videos.

Here are the steps for you to create Categories inside of YouTube:

1- Go to (Make sure that you hare signed in with the email address of the channel you want to modify)

2- Click on the second left column under "Videos."

You can then go to your channel and see all your videos nicely grouped under on Playlist.

Hope that helps!

With love!
