How to Create Sections on YouTube (2019)

Creating Sections is a process that will help you organize your channel even further. Sections will allow you to add content that you created plus videos from other channels. This is a good strategy if you want to share material from other people with your clients that would are relevant to them. However, your channel should focus on video content that you create yourself. People will be incentivized to come back to your channel for your videos only.

You need playlists to create Sections. In this article, I share how to do this.

What are Sections and why you should bother?

Sections will be your way to organize your video as you think will look best. If you don't create sections, then YouTube will choose for you, and it will display your liked videos, uploaded videos and subscriptions. Sections are what will make your channel look professional and organized.

Here are the steps to create Sections:

1- Go to the top right-hand side and click on your picture, then choose your "My channel."

4- I recommend for you to use only your videos for your channel, so the best way to do this is by choosing under "Content" "Single Playlist."

5- A new section will appear with "Choose a playlist." Click on "My playlist" Then the list of playlists that you have created will show. Choose the one you want to add. Click on "Done"
