4 Easy Ways to Optimize Titles & Increase Views | YouTube for Business

I love using video for marketing as it is a more natural way for me to generate lots of great content by just talking to the camera. There is still some work that goes into putting the content and video together, and it is frustrating when very few people look at it.

One of the main reasons why this happens is because as business owners, we get so close to our work that we forget that we need to optimize our work with keywords that people are searching. For example, you might be making a video about apples, but for some reason, your audience is searching for information about red fruit. It is technically the same, but search engines will not show your amazing video because you optimize it for the word.

In this article, I am going to show you how to optimize your video titles in 4 simple ways:

1: Find keywords that you want to include in your title. You need to optimize for people and search engines. I will be making another video about this topic.

2: Treat the titles like the title of an article or a blog that needs to be catchy to hook to get your reader's attention. The same applies to video titles. It is hard to be creative all the time, so I like to use a swipe file of titles that I can reuse. You can use my file if that works for you. You can download it here: https://www.criebe.com/title-optimization-cheat-sheet/

3: Title should be about 70 characters even though it gives you 100. If you use a more extended title, then it will look cut in the results of YouTube which could make people ignore it.

4: Titles must reflect what you are talking in the video. If your video is different from what people are expecting based on the title they read, then they will stop watching the video. If this happens often, then YouTube will consider your content terrible, and it will not show you again.

Optimization is essential to get your video marketing working for you. Youtube for business is useful as long as you are optimizing it and doing it right. Stay tuned for more tips on how to improve your videos one step at the time.
